Thieves Market and Ice Breaker Games

So, I caved. I'm smoking. It's so hard not to when you're surrounded by smokers. Especially in Europe.

Today I trekked to what is called the Thieves Market. I got some cute earrings that have already turned my hears green and a pair of snazzy sunglasses. I really shouldn't be spending money though. Gotta stick to the necessities, and I'm pretty sure sunny days are on the horizon despite all the rain these last few days.

I also didn't bring an umbrella. No sunglasses, no umbrella. You'd think I've never travelled before.

Last night I went on the pub crawl, which was insane. Something like 140 people were a part of this crawl. The streets were also filled with UK hockey players with ridiculous hair cuts. It looked like they got into a fight with a buzzer and lost. They sang obnoxiously, drank profusely, and at one point were lighting each others hair on fire. Next level partying, it actually made me a bit uncomfortable. I feel like it must be a right of passage for them or something.

My legs feel tight. I need to stretch. I can't believe how much I've hiked in 3 days. It's been an intense unintentional work out.

I need a nap. And this time I'm going to take it. Today is St. Patty's, it won't be by the time you're reading this, but for me right now it is. And I need to be ready for what's about to happen.

It's amazing how easy it is to meet people and hang out. Also how easy it is to walk away when you need space. It's pretty great actually.

Ok I need to sleep.

* * *

So I slept. And missed dinner. Bummer.

I played drinking games with my new hostel friends. It amazes me how simple a drinking game can be. Keep a coin spinning, the one who stops it: drinks. Another, put your hand in, say "3-2-1, then a number (multiple of 5)" out loud, everyone playing either opens or closes their hands. If you guess the right number, you're out. Last person to guess right drinks the jungle juice cup in the middle that everyone contributed to.

The last one, probably the funnest, was called Thumper. Everyone establishes an identifier sign, and tries to remember the signs of other people. Then, everyone bangs the table and the last person to lose shout's "What are we playing", everyone else shouts "THUMPER", loser shouts "why are we playing?" everyone shouts "TO GET FUCKED UP!". The loser then starts with their own sign, and does the sign of another person, that person does their sign, and someone else's, and it goes on until someone fucks up. Then they drink. People get pretty goofy pretty quick.

I think it's good to know ice breaker games, and now we know 3! You're welcome.

After the pub crawl, we went for some drunk falafel, which was probably the best falafel pita I've had in my entire life. That's one thing that has yet to disappoint. The food is SO friggin good!!

Alright. That's it for now.

All my love,

G
