What a Knife Night

Today I went knife throwing with my friend Tony.

WHAT a practical skill to have. I love it!

It's kind of addictive, and very cathartic. The THUNK of the knife tip successfully penetrating the wood is as satisfying a sound as the swish of a basketball through a net. Or the crack of a bat sending a ball to the bleachers. Only you feel dangerous too.

It makes me want to throw knives all the time. I want to hone the skill and become this badass deadly sharp object slinger.

It's SO much better than hatchet/axe throwing. Not that I've ever done that, but really, how practical is that? Throwing an axe? How often are you gonna have an axe to throw? And once you throw the one, then what? Knives are WAY more accessible. More agile. And more versatile.

Pfft. Axe throwing. What a joke.

Knife throwing is where it's at folks!

We went to TKTO. I don't know if there's other places in Toronto, I haven't checked. But our instructor was awesome. Jon. He taught us, watched us, was patient and fun.

I'd highly recommend this for a date, party, hangout, or new hobby, for ANYONE.
